I mean you can play it the way you want but the game tries to teach kids that the more you love/work with things the stronger they get

hah yea i played online with this girl who treated her pokemon like her kids and my bulk-ass OU tier warriors with fine-tuned EVs IVs natures and movesets mopped the floor with her shitty team and she had to learn a hard lesson that day: starter sux

when was the last time anybody's pokemon even had it, stealth rock has made it so that people are too scared to use anything that's weak to rock so it's not even necessary to put it on because people are too scared to use it. also it's called "switching in before stealth rock and not switching out afterwards" it's pretty easy to do
