I think the robot came in during 2010/2011. For quite a long while the robot actually only had a soundboard, but eventually it has a voice actor with talent behind it now. The robot was made by Grant Imahara though, so it's pretty cool of him to do that.
He also has a horse called Secretariat which is basically two interns in a horse costume.
I'm really digging this show. I hope that he gets another show if CBS won't make a new contract with him.
